Two-storey maisonette

This maisonette in a 1930s block was very dark and dingy. We removed all the internal walls downstairs and turned four pokey rooms into one large space. To stop it looking too precious we commissioned a feature staircase in steel. Designed to be as transparent as possible it also increased the sense of space and light. And we went for primary colour accents in the furniture. The end result was featured in magazines around the world.
