We are a specialist construction company based in Chelsea, West London, working exclusively on the refurbishment and extension of high quality residential property.The majority of our work is carried out in Chelsea, Kensington, Notting Hill, Westminster and Pimlico, with occasional forays out into the suburbs of South and West London.
We have particular expertise in the refurbishment and remodelling of listed properties, and in working within the stringent permissions and applications system that regulates the alteration of London’s fine housing stock.
BuildBuro is a member company of Tyler Mandic group, and is the division providing construction expertise and services independent of the architectural services offered by the group.
Although BuildBuro carries out the construction side of all Tyler Mandic design and build projects, we take much of our work from other architects, from proper owners with their own architects, and from estate managers and surveyors in need of excellence in residential construction.
We work for private and commercial property owners, developers and overseas owners, as well as for managers of major London property estates.
BuildBuro was established and continues to be led by Peter Tyler.
Having studied architecture at university, Peter elected for a career in building, establishing the Chelsea based firm of Tyler Bridgeman in the mid 1980s.
In 1998, Peter co-founded Tyler Mandic with the architect Gordana Mandic, launching BuildBuro as the standalone construction operation.
Peter’s three decades of experience of residential building on some of London’s finest properties, and in its most distinguished neighbourhoods, gives him a peerless knowledge of what is possible, what it will cost, how best to do it and, just as importantly, how not to do it.
Peter’s eye for the quality of building work gives BuildBuro the reputation of which we are intensely proud, and which we guard so jealously.
