This construction project, on a handsome, Grade II listed villa in Camberwell, is an excellent example of building using modern techniques and materials but with the purpose of enhancing, rather than disturbing, the character and surroundings of a fine property.
Although Buildburo completed this project a number of years ago, it demonstrates well our facility with integrating large areas of glass into residential refurbishments.
The rear of the property was opened up substantially, creating a pleasing flow from the indoor space to the greenery, trees and vines beyond, which we took great care to protect and, in the case of the vines to reaccommodate.
This property, occupying a more suburban setting than the Central London projects on which we are more commonly engaged, presented construction challenges of a different nature to many of those we encounter, but even with the passing of years, this refurbishment has shown itself an excellent piece of construction planning and execution.
