We undertake a good deal of commercial construction work in Chelsea, Kensington and surrounding areas on behalf of one of the largest property estates in the country. The standards required by such a client for both project and site management are extremely high, and thus serve as testimony to the professionalism of our approach to construction.
This property is a residential maisonette, located in the upper parts over a ground floor dental practice. The refurbishment itself was straightforward enough, with some remodelling of space, replacement of utilities and construction and decoration of new bathrooms and kitchen. Logistics, however, were complicated by the need to avoid disrupting the work of the dentist, a commercial tenant, in the ground floor unit.
Achieving this requires careful site management, with all deliveries having to be carried out via scaffolding, from the outside of the building through openings on the 1st floor. This is compounded in a narrow Knightsbridge thoroughfare such as Pavilion Road by the proximity of neighbouring businesses and residents, as well as the demands of continuous traffic. A fine outcome all round, however, reflecting the level of management skill applied.
