From a construction point of view, the transparent staircase (easier to achieve now than then due to developments in technology) presented a number of challenges both to our architect partners, and to us as builders. Pleasingly, a reliance on fundamental principles and a thorough understanding of the properties and capabilities of the materials available enabled us to achieve a highly impressive and practicable outcome.
