Sometimes making the most of your home is about getting more out of those rooms that are sometimes overlooked. Basements can be turned into a kind of den or an extra sitting room, a self contained flat for guests or staff, a wine cellar or as an alternative place to hide away and relax in when the living room is being used. Basements also make fantastic home offices as there is little noise from outside. Even if you renovate the basement just to create a cleaner and brighter storage area, you will have made a huge difference to the atmosphere of your home.
